This week, for the first time in a long time, I actually paid attention to a preflight airline safety video.

Leverage2Market LogoI’m certainly not the only one who tunes out the boring demonstration of how to buckle a seatbelt and use an oxygen mask.

United Airlines has redone their safety videos to make them entertaining. All of the required information is still there, but United has taken a fresh, creative approach that make me stop and pay attention. Flight attendants present this material to travelers in tropical locales and atop double decker buses. It’s humorous and interesting.

No matter how important your message, if you can’t get people’s attention, you will not have succeeded. Try changing the script and see what happens.
