I’ve spent the last two weekends recording music for my upcoming classical piano CD Night Songs.

Those of you who have ever performed–whether it’s music, dance, theater or another art–know that you prepare the best you can and give each performance your best. No matter how much you practice, you often feel like you could use a little more prep time.

But there comes a time when you have to say, enough is enough and move forward–take the chance and go out there and do it. No performance is perfect, but a good one is breathtaking and memorable.

How many business opportunities do we miss because we are too busy rehearsing our spiel, getting all of our operations in perfect alignment, or waiting until the time is “just right”?

Sometimes you just have to face the music and dance.
