Smoking Out the CVS Brand
CVS, the nationwide drugstore chain, recently announced they are suspending the sale of tobacco products in their stores, walking away from more than $2B in annual revenues. To nonsmokers, this may look like a moral victory-one less place where cigarettes can easily be procured-even at a big financial cost.
But from a brand perspective this looks like a different decision entirely.

Fast Forward in ’14, our Top of the Year Teleseminar, was held in January. MP3 recording available.
In January, Linda presented Setting the Right Coordinates: 7 Ways to Jumpstart Your Marketing to the SVForum Marketing SIG.
Linda is now the Public Relations Coordinator for the Society for the Advancement of Consulting (SAC). The February release was titled Skill Gaps Will Impact Coming Boom in US Economy.
On April 1, Linda will interview Simma Lieberman about ten practical, easy actions from her new book, 110 Ways to Champion Diversity and Build Inclusion, that you can take that to affect the climate of inclusion in your organization.
Linda will be one of 40 Women of Influence in Silicon Valley participating in the special BizWomen Mentoring Monday event in Palo Alto on April 7.
