What Part of Customer Service Is Not Clear?
It happened to me again recently: I was in a situation where I needed to contact the customer service department of a major company. You know the feeling-a product that’s not right, service that didn’t happen, promises that weren’t kept.
You probably also know what happens next. That sense of dread and desperation: I’m about to waste a lot of my valuable time trying to resolve this.
And sure enough, the customer service rep on the other end of the line was sure not to disappoint.

Exciting New Consulting Workshops Now Available
We are pleased to announce that Linda Popky is the first licensee certified to offer the workshops and seminars of noted Million Dollar Consultant Alan Weiss to consultants and small business people.
Initially, Linda will be offering two one-day workshops, The Art of the Referral and Sealing the Deal.
The first session of The Art of the Referral will be offered on May 29th in the Boston area, in conjunction with the Society of Professional Consultants. Sealing the Deal will be offered in the San Francisco Bay Area, in conjunction with Women in Consulting and IMC on June 11th.

Linda presented Consulting Triple Play: How to Acquire Clients, Charge Value-Based Fees, and Write Proposals that are Accepted Every Time, a workshop based on three of Alan Weiss’s most popular books in October in Mountain View, CA.
Two of Linda’s proposed topics, The Leverage Factor: Strategies to successfully leverage all your marketing resources, and Elect This! Lessons for marketing from the long (!) ongoing political process were chosen for sessions at the first Silicon Valley Marketing Camp Unconference in November. The next Marketing Uncamp is scheduled in San Francisco in March.
For the fourth year in a row, Linda has been asked to judge the New Mexico Women’s Press Awards Competition this spring.
The Gardener’s Guide to Growing Your Consulting Practice, an article by Linda Popky and marketing consultant Robbie Kellman Baxter was published on the Contrarian Consulting Blog in February.
